Dental Implants

Dental implants have become a part of our everyday practice and are by far the best way to replace most missing teeth. There are a number of reasons for this;

1. Dental implants are independent of any other teeth, so no teeth need to be touched to replace an existing missing tooth with an implant.

2. When a tooth is missing and there is nothing in the bone, the bone is no longer stimulated and can shrink overtime. This makes it difficult to place an implant at a later stage and sometimes can cause changes in the shape of the jawbone and other surrounding features. Dental implants are placed in the bone and therefore preserve the bone. This is an excellent added benefit compared to other alternative procedures.
